Four new groups are open for Fall 2009!

Minding the Self: A Mindfulness Meditation Skill-Building Group
Enhance your life by building skills in mindfulness meditation.
This increasingly popular approach has been associated with
a variety of mental and physical health benefits. This group will
include 8 weekly sessions, and is appropriate for seasoned
and beginning meditators. Registration cost is $200 per person.



Battery Recharge: A Relaxation Training Group for your Lunch Break

Spend half of your lunch break releasing the stress from your week.
This 30-minute group will introduce a new relaxation technique during
each session. Walk-ins welcome, and session cost is $25 per person. 



Balance the Double Life: A Stress Reduction Group for Student Athletes

Student-athletes are faced with the unique task of balancing two full-time
jobs, one in the classroom and one on the court or field. This weekly group
will provide the skills and support that student-athletes need to meet the
challenges of their daily routine and to avoid the staleness or burnout that
can hinder performance and enjoyment. Session cost is $75 per person.



Mind over Body: A Support Group for Injured Athletes
One of the greatest challenges that an athlete can face is physically and
mentally recovering from an injury. Support is often available to facilitate
healing of the body, but far less attention is paid to emotional reactions
that are known to occur. This weekly group will provide essential skills
and support that athletes can use as they work toward recovery on all
levels. Session cost is $75 per person.
