Rates 

Initial 15-minute phone consultation = FREE
Initial therapy session = $180 per hour
Continuing therapy sessions = $150 per hour
Consultation sessions = $150 per hour 

Rates for therapy groups or other services may vary. 


Insurance
Dr. Kaufman does not accept insurance or belong to any managed-care panels. However, he provides receipts which are submittable to insurance companies for potential out-of-network reimbursement, according to the terms of your policy.    


Payment
Payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card is expected at the time service is provided.


Cancellation Policy
If you do not notify Dr. Kaufman at least 2 business days in advance of a need to cancel a scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay a fee for the session, unless it is agreed that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control.



Dr. Kaufman is a licensed psychologist in DC and Virginia. He is currently accepting new clients in both his Washington, DC and Old Town Alexandria offices.
